London marches against war

On March 20, 2003, an international coalition led by the United States invaded Iraq to overthrow dictator Sadam Hussein arguing that the country had weapons of mass destruction and was supporting terrorism.

Five years later, the Stop the War Coalition, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and the British Muslim Initiative (BMI) asked Londoners to join them in a peace march to demand the withdrawal of British troops from both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Here´s a taste of what happened in the heart of London on March 15, 2008.
