African-Caribbean market at Brixton

Brixton market has one of the largest selections of African and Caribbean foods in Europe.
As you step inside the market, you can see tones of food everywhere along Electric Lane, which is an outdoor food market. You can find typical food from the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.
Another section worth visiting is the indoor market covered by glass roofs called Arcade. There you can enjoy African-Caribbean culture, for example, get your hair done in African style.

The market is located in a scruffy yard behind the high street, on Uxbridge Road every Saturday. There are plenty of traditional food and spice from India
There are lots of stalls selling sari, colourful fabric, cosmetic and jewellery. They are all affordable!!
Things are sold differently from on each day. General market for Indian stuff will be on Tuesday from 9am – 5pm. On Wednesday, horses and goats will be sold on street.
