On Monday March 17, Ireland paid tribute to its saint patron, St Patrick, in Dublin and all around the country, but London decided to celebrate all things Irish a day early.
On Sunday, thousands of Londoners, born Irish or not, participated in a music and dance festival in Trafalgar and Leicester Square, joined a parade and tasted Irish specialities at Covent Garden.
