The leprechauns invade London

On Monday March 17, Ireland paid tribute to its saint patron, St Patrick, in Dublin and all around the country, but London decided to celebrate all things Irish a day early.

On Sunday, thousands of Londoners, born Irish or not, participated in a music and dance festival in Trafalgar and Leicester Square, joined a parade and tasted Irish specialities at Covent Garden.

Central London was a sea of orange, white and green. Despite the cold and the rain, the laughter prevailed. But was it only because of the Guinness? See for yourself.
